Kevin and Stacy have been such a great couple to work with. They are incredibly sweet, madly in love with each other, hilarious, and competitive. All the things I like. You may remember their engagement session at Spielbound here in Omaha. I'm going to admit that this was a personal fave. Their ease to "play" and laugh with each other made for really easy wedding day photographs.
Their ceremony and reception were both held at the Omaha Noah's Event Venue. The ease of getting ready in big, spacious rooms and transitioning from the ceremony to reception is always super easy here. If you're looking for a venue that is a flexible one-stop-shop, we'd highly recommend it. A GINORMOUS shoutout to Lindsay with Chevrons and Champagne for her incredible wedding planning and design skills. She made the day run flawlessly and we absolutely adored working with her.
Christine with Blush Makeup Artistry always does a FANTASTIC job with our clients. We're fortunate enough to work with her on a TON of weddings each year. We can always count on her professional applications to be enhancing of features, elegant enough, and complimentary to photography.
Kevin surprised Stacy with this complete tear-jerker of a wedding present book called My Reasons Why and a PAINTED CANVAS of one of their engagement photos. Guys. A PAINTED CANVAS. It was so awesome! And I will say, even more awesome to see art created from my art. My heart exploded when I saw it. I think I squealed as loud as Stacy did.
As always, it's our goal to capture the genuine and real emotion of a wedding day. But, what you probably didn't know is that we set little goals for ourselves for each wedding (because we're competitive with ourselves). For this family, we made it our goal to capture as many tiny little moments as we could representing Kevin and his son, plus the three of them as a family. We found these in the times Kevin would brush away his sons hair with such delicacy and how they would always squeeze each other a little extra tight. As parents, ourselves, we knew how precious those little moments would be far into the future when it just doesn't happen as much.
Their ceremony was a bawl fest. Everyone cried. Parents, guests, each other...so many tears of joy. We absolutely love seeing everyone celebrating together and surrounding each other with love.
Kevin, Stacy, and families...we loved being a part of your day. Thank you for trusting us with the little moments on such a huge day! You're going to have such a fun life together.
